Our journey began as a dream in 2014, evolving through the development of a concept note and subsequent research proposal. In 2015, NCC recognized and funded our vision. The project commenced with the dedicated "Cabalists," an extensive list of contributors including Simikaiye, Eniola, Victor, Chiebem, Sadiq (Sharp-Sharp), Habeeb, among others.
Efficiently completing the project within the stipulated timeframe, we proudly submitted our work at NCC Headquarters, Abuja, in 2018. You can find more details in this article: https://technext24.com/2018/05/24/researchers-students-fut-minna-develop-simless-operator-digital-walking-stick/
Our commitment to improvement persisted, showcased through various events, publications, and mentorship of undergraduate and postgraduate students. Our video on the project is available here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zIpyl3Tht88
Rather than allowing our efforts to gather dust, we have exciting news. We are now one of the two selected beneficiaries for a commercialization fund. Gratitude to the entire team for their dedication from the conception stage to the present.
This remarkable 10-year journey, as Chief Okoh Aihe captures part of our story here, reinforces the truth that success is indeed a journey and not a sprint https://www.thecable.ng/spiritual-intelligence-shoots-prof-aibinu-to-the-summit.
This is one of our numerous projects awaiting commercialization. We look forward to securing additional funding opportunities for our ideas, concepts, and laboratory-scale prototypes.
